Darling, I hope you had a restful holiday and are gearing up for a gentle launch into the new year!
I’m writing to let you know that I’ll be closing my Facebook account in the new year as part of an ongoing effort to streamline and simplify. Over the past many months I’ve found myself disengaged from the platform and want fewer moving parts to manage.
Here’s an interesting article from Lifehacker on saying farewell to Facebook.
I know some of you are part of the TDJ Insider’s Facebook group or follow the TDJ Facebook page and I so appreciate your support there over the years.
I’ll miss connecting with you on Facebook, but look forward to sending you regular Love Notes (you’re signed up, right?!) plus sharing with you on the podcast, Instagram, here on the blog, and through these offerings.
Thank you for being such a bright light in my life! I wish you all good things in 2022 and beyond. x
PS I’ll be posting my Year in Review shortly which may offer insights on this year’s changes. More soon!
I’m actually thrilled to see you leaving FB too. I dumped my account about 6 months ago and never looked back. I’ve taken a couple-month hiatus from social media altogether (except YouTube…dang it!), and I honestly don’t miss it at all. FB, in particular, brought with it a whole host of drama and negativity that just isn’t welcome in my life. Seems Twitter is similar, so I never signed up for it.
Happy New Year – almost a month late, Kimberly. Still love catching up via the love notes and podcast. I need to come ready your blog more often. At this point I feel like Blogs are the “good old days” 🙂
Hello Robin, thank you for sharing your experience. It is interesting how something that once felt useful is no longer meaningful and cheers for taking action on that! Thanks for reading the Love Notes and listening to the podcasts. Appreciate your ongoing support. Wishing you, too, a very happy 2022! x
