yesterday while driving from houston to the crossings near austin, we hit an amazing thunderstorm. j’adore the storms of oklahOMa and texas – truly divine. we decided to detour and hit the famous south congress street for sOMe vintage shopping and browsing.

after trying on the insane pink python boots at allen’s and salivating over the crystal-encrusted ones (only $1299.), i took a photo and kept walking. cowboy boot envy.

i picked up a pair of sparkly upcycled legwarmers (yes, i donned them immediately despite it being 95+ degrees!) and a gorgeous vintage necklace with the most amazing clasp at new bohemia. photo to cOMe if i will only take it off. love, love, love it! 2 new sparkly treats for less than $50 = happiness.

was most enthralled with blackmail boutique where coco chanel’s quote “a woman without a little black dress has no future” is prominently displayed. the owner, gail chovan, is a woman i’d love to take to tea. the unique pieces in her store were *most* inspiring. fell in love with a long silk chiffon couture gown that didn’t fit my budget. le sigh.

although i didn’t partake in the cupcake trailer, i had to snap a photo (lower right image). love that it is in an airstream. my grandparents had these sparkly travel tools and seeing them (especially serving up cupcakes) brings back good memories.

today began with a massage (yum!), reading/handling tranquil space biz/journaling poolside, and meditating in the sanctuary (upper right photo).

excited to see what tonight will hold. thinking a trip to a nearby bookstore, veggie dining, and more time in the sanctuary being. ommmm.
