Bonjour Monday. As I lay in bed this morning pondering whether to savor the final moments of slumbery grogginess or start the day. I chose slumbery grogginess and relished being curled up with my pug, Beau, soft blankets, and piles of pillows. Felt like the perfect decadent start to a new week.
Today I’m hosting our seasonal tranquilosophy podcast complimentary at 3pm ET and it will be available for download here later tonight. Hope you can join us as I share my 8 top Tranquility Tools for blooming into spring.
For this week’s Mindful Monday, I wanted to share a favorite poem by Rumi that reminds me little happens by accident. Let’s make room for the new delights. I’m ready! Et toi? Happy, happy spring. Bisous. x
The Guest House

This being human is a guest-house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
Who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture.
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you
out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
