last night was magical. the setting was gorgeous. the people were jovial. the food was yummy (or so i heard – i never made it to the food table). the award recipients were inspiring. the grantee from girls on the run dc chapter who spoke about what she did with the micro grant we gave her was empowering. the live music was rockin’. the volunteers were amazing. overall, a blissful evening. photos to come. i set my camera out but must have forgotten that you have to actually push the button to make things happen. we had a professional photographer there, the lovely sally mannix, so i know i’ll have some wonderful ones to share. we’re still figuring out the financials on how much was raised for tranquil space foundation and i appreciate all of you who sent well wishes, showed up, and/or made a donation. much appreciated! we made lots of partnership connections last night and look forward to bringing TranquilTeens to the masses. who doesn’t need a dose of yoga, creativity, and leadership?

in other good news, hip tranquil chick was named among the top 10 yoga + mediation blogs.

podcast coming this weekend. sorry for the delay. the gala took every bit of juice out of me this week so i’ll be back on track this weekend. best wishes for a delightful fall foliage weekend! there are a few dorm spots left in next weekend’s fall foliage retreat if you’d like to a quick, yummy getaway.
