Off the Mat: Today’s podcast is an interview with Esther Blum. Esther Blum, MS, RD, CDN, CNS specializes in nutritional approaches to medical problems that may not respond to conventional treatments. Esther develops personalized meal plans and supplement regimes to optimize health by restoring systemic balance.
Esther received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Simmons College in Boston and is a graduate of New York University, where she received her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition. She is also a graduate of the Designs For Health Institute, where she received her certification in holistic nutrition. Esther is credentialed as a Registered Dietitian, a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist and a Certified Nutrition Specialist.
Esther has been a guest on the Style Network’s ISAAC show, ABC-TV with Dr. Jay Adlersberg, FOX 5’s Good Day New York, the WB11 morning news, WOR-AM’s (New York) program “Health Talk”, Bloomberg Radio and eYada.com web radio. She has served as a nutrition spokesperson for consumer magazines, including In Style, Marie Claire, Fitness, Bazaar, Self, Men’s Health, Let’s Live!, Dance Spirit, Health, and WeightWatchers.com. Esther has also authored articles for BeautyNewsNYC.com , Weight Watchers and Dance Spirit Magazine. She lectures widely on nutrition to physician and patient groups and has lectured at Peak Performance Fitness, Viacom, the NYU Bioethics Forum, the JCC, the 92nd Street Y, Beth Israel Medical Center, the Yale Club, Health South Physical Therapy, and to her running team, The Reservoir Dogs.
