Featured Tranquilista:
Bonnie Schmidt is a certified yoga instructor with a background in stress and anxiety relief. After suffering with an anxiety disorder and frequent panic attacks for almost 10 years she devoted a year of her life to study alternative therapies and healing practices to help alleviate the anxiety. Through her journey she found yoga. With a desire to enhance her own practice she signed up to become a certified instructor so she could experiment with what worked best for her in her personal life. After finding much success, and alleviating most of her daily anxiety, she became determined to share what she learned with others that were going through the same thing.

In January 2009 she launched Anxiety to Zen, a website dedicated to educating and empowering people with anxiety disorders. Through this website she shares what she learns and blogs about her journey. She has had the opportunity to share what has helped her along the way with a variety of online publications such as and Along with teaching, she also conducts workshops that aim to promote awareness of chronic stress and anxiety disorders, teaches stress and anxiety relief yoga classes and works with people one-on-one to help them ease stress and anxiety in their lives.
