au revoir sum, sum, summertime.

can you believe it’s the end of august? where did summer go? i’m still longing for a beach excursion, relaxation with a good book in a hammock, and lots more sleeping in.

as i reflect on the summer, it’s been very full but very fast. here’s a run down of the moments:

– week in oklahoma for funeral + family time
– week in portland for wedding
– 4 hours/week in french class at alliance francais – “graduated” from 101 today
– week teaching at kripalu
– month of editing tranquilista
– 2 additional weeks of final tranquilista edits
– applied + got accepted to graduate school
– 2 hours/week in physical therapy
– removal of atypical mole (ouch)
– cortisone injection into bum hand (double ouch)
– finalizing fall designs
fall photo shoot
– turned 36
– oodles of yoga
– moved TranquiliT showroom back to chez moi
– lots of documentary-watching with beau
– launch of TranquiliT tribe + affiliate programs
– roman bath + massage + rainbow sherbert ice cream cone in berkley springs
– a couple delightful weekends at beau’s cabin in WV w/ friends
– volunteering: teaching chair yoga to seniors + tranquil teens
– prepping for 10-year celebration of tranquil space
– launched tranquil space blog
– weekend of eye candy/play/work in new york
– discovered the perfect red lipstick: mulled wine (#650) by revlon
– seeing julie + julia solo late night in new york
– indulged in yummy 4-week yin series at tranquil space
summer solstice staycation

take a moment to reflect on your past 12 weeks. what have been your highlights, lessons learned, and takeaways? although we’re saying “au revoir” to summer, we get to say “bonjour” to fall. a fresh season. a fresh start. tall boots. layers. hot cocoa with whipped cream. warm fires. cinnamon candles. changing leaves. hats. scarves. pumpkin patches. now i’m getting even more excited about what is to come!
